    first off im a small engine mechanic,  my question is  I see a lot of post's in regards to a fuel stabilizer.  what is it about fuel stabilizer that everyone thinks is so great.  it DOES NOT prevent water from contaminating the fuel.  this is 99.9% of starting issues.       what i have seen when talking with customers is  the length of time they leave fuel in the gas cans.  ex.  someone store their snowblower for the summer in a nice hot shed.  its 110*  during the day and cools down to 70* at nite.  this is the process of condensation.  this happens for 3 months or longer  then they pull out the snowblower and wonder why it wont start. same process for lawnmowers.  NOTHING will remove water from fuel,  it may concentrate it but sooner or later while running your unit you will get to the water.  as far as stabilizer this will only prolong the deterioration of the fuel.  after 30 days the fuel starts to loose it volitility, stabil will make that 60 days  maybe.    some more input.
