Hi guys, regards from “Divine” Providence, RI

I am new to snow blowers because never bothered to buy one.

Now I am a proud owner of JD 726(not sure how old).

It works, except for recoil starter, has to be fixed or replaced, not sure can use a advice on that.

Also I am not sure if a deferential lock and how.

there should be a large nut on 1 tire that locks the  diferencal in and out I have one and that is how mine works  use eletric starter or the recoil is easy to swap out.
