Help Craftsman Snow Blower won't stay running
Original Message   Jan 18, 2006 8:51 pm
I purchase a used Craftsman snow blower a couple of weeks ago the previous owner said the snow blower is about ten years old but was in storage for six years. Changed spark plug and oil, blower ran great at time of purchase and also ran fine once I got it home. Well after two weeks we finally got some snow so I pull out the blower but engine will not run after the choke is close, if I leave the choke open the engine starts to race after

a few minutes then shuts off. The Model No. is 536-888621 8HP 26"

Thanks for the suggestions, I ordered an Owners manual a couple of shear pins and a tune-up kit from Sears just in case I have to dig a little deeper. I'm

great at taking things apart now putting them back together that's a different story :)
