Checking the oil
Original Message   Jan 8, 2006 12:29 pm
What is the general practice for checking oil on a Tecumesh engine with a dip-stick. After I pull the stick and clean it off, do I thread it all the way back in or do I just set it back on top of  the the tube without threading it in. Threading it  will give a slightly higher reading that just placing it back on the tube.

Thanks
Mike C
