Excess axle grease dripping normal?
Original Message   Dec 21, 2005 12:21 am
It seems that every time use my Ariens 7524, and especially when the going is tough and I'm working the deeper stuff, at the end of my session I notice what seems to be excess axle grease dripping out of the ends of the axles, out of the hole where the locking pins go in. It seems more pronounced on the left axle (looking from the operators perspective). It's like when the drive has been engaged for a while and things are warmed up, you get more of it. Not a huge amount, but enough so I get a rag and wipe it off the wheels. The drive is working fine and it goes forward and backward 100% OK. Is this a normal occurrence? I have had the machine for about a month and have used it for around 10 driveway clearings.
