4.5 yard machine

I was just given this snow blower and it did work last winter... it has only about 10 hours on it. I can not start it, I have changed the gas and cleaned the spark plug as well made sure the gas line was free and open. the carb is getting gas so i am confused. I tried to start it with the spark plug out (to see if there was a spark) and still nothing. any ideas? Thanks artie

shouldn't there be a spark from cranking it? the spark plug is is connected to the lead and is out of the cylinder.

If the bottom of the sparkplug is touching the engine metal as well... there should be a spark..

Found the problem. took the float basket off and found the float incased in ice, somehow water accumulated and froze. all is well Thanks Artie
