10 HP Tecumsea engine for Ariens
Original Message   Dec 10, 2005 4:19 pm
I need to replace a blown engine on a 4 year old Ariens 10-28 Snowthrower.  It has a Tecumsea engine now.

Does anyone know where I can buy a 10 HP replacement engine that will bolt on without any modification?  Should I go with a larger engine?  11.5 HP maybe?  Will that bolt on the same as the 10HP?

Also, it seems unusual for this engine to blow so preaturely.  It had plenty of oil and has been well maintained.  Was running fine and all of the sudden it seized and the engine block split open.

Thanks!

Goldfish,

Read the posts labeled: Ariens ST 824 worth a rebuild. Last post yesterday at 8:32.

I put 3 sources of engines for your blower.
