what changed on the 926DLE? Original Message Dec 6, 2005 8:11 pm
i ordered an Ariens 926DLE about 4 weeks ago, and it arrived today - beautiful machine, and surprisingly easy to move around in tight spaces (fits into and out of single car garage with my mazda 6 wagon parked in there). while i was waiting, i called the dealer to see what was the reason for the holdup - he said they were upgrading the 926DLE and that i would be happy. well, stupid me didn't bother to ask what was being upgraded. does anyone know what was changed?

I had a look at the Ariens site and the things that caught my eye WRT this year's 926DLE model is:
1. Tecumseh or Briggs and Stratton OHV engine; 2. Hand warmers; 3. Rremote differential lock-out; and 4. Remote chute deflector.
Since you probably ordered this year's model I'm guessing that it might be a change in engine since everything else is "standard" and wouldn't require any changing. The only other guess would be that they are upgrading a unit from last year with some sort of retrofit kit.
