New Husqvarna Snowblower
Original Message   Dec 3, 2005 12:15 pm
I just picked up a new Husqvarna 10527SBE, wanted to get the Ariens 926LE but everyone ran out of them. Looked at the Toro but was over my budget for the features I wanted. I liked my older Areins but it just didnt have the power for the heavier storms and the EOD. Also my drive is single wide 85'+ long, and due to an adjasent drive I have to double blow the snow for about 35 ft. I liked the power steer, and remote hood deflection feature on yhe Husky. Does anyone have this machine and if so has it lived up to your expectations? Im hoping for some snow in the next couple of days to try it out.

I havent had a chance to get back to the dealers yet. I have calmed down since I posted Sunday, just kind of over reacted.

After replacing the belt it ran fine. I think I just need some operating time to get used to it. It handles a lot different than my old 5hp Ariens.

With out getting into a Proffesional series Ariens, must of the machines seem very similar in and around the same price range.

Hopefully we may have a snow storm last in the week so I can get a chance to try it out again.

Hi:

Well I did a surgical strike at my local Husky dealer and walked away with the 10527SBE for $1070. Including tax and delivery. This is the first time in my 56 years that I have ever stood behind a running snowblower. I just got it and ran it through the 5 inches of snow we have out there right now. I assume it is more Snowblower than I will ever need. Very easy and intuitive to use except for the left power steering lever which is hard to use with the throttle in the left hand. I assume the adjustable thing at the end of the chute is awesome if you never had one. Later today, I'll have to go out and finish the job after the plows come by and I'm gonna run a path around the back yard for the pet greyhound. I'll post after I finish.

When you go to blow on a lawn, set the scraper  about 1 to 2 inchs high.

Saves your lawn!!

Just got done w/ 8-10" wet snow, it cut thru like butter. Still having problems getting used to the steering lock levers, I keep grabbing them for wheel and auger activation. Im used to my old Ariens which had bottom levers.

After my drive I then went and did 3 niegbors just for fun.

Going to change the oil this weekend after I let it warm up, to tired and cold to do it now. Also need top make a few cable adjustments, but I guess thats to be expected.

I checked out the Ariens 926DLE with the 9.5 OHV , real sweet w/ the differencial. A heavy duty machine. Just couldnt see spending the extra $500.

I just purchased a 10530SBE and so far so good. The only problem is with the chute adjuster (left to right). The lever is EXTREMELY hard to move. I checked all the mechanical mounting points and they seem to be free. I suspect the cable is the issue. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so what is the solution to fix it?

TGRE,

You have to push it down out of the detent  and then it moves freely.

At least mine Does!!
