Go-Truck,
Original Message   Aug 24, 2005 4:45 pm
A friend and i built a Go-Truck, Simmilar to a go cart , but looks more like a Truck,  We had a powered wheel 8 HP Tecumseh, YUCK, we tore the Auger unit off the Base of the Gearbox, We bolted the Base of the Gearbox to the frame and to the Undercarriage of a Candian Tire garden cart * 2 Tier Model*,  did some minor Pressure Clutch Mods, * Clutch Pedal up front *, Ran the thing earlier today with no problems, Just some 2" wheelies XD, The only drawback with this Engine is that the Previous owners* Get ready for this * Put White house paint in the oil... We took it apart, Cleaned it out, Did 2 oil Changes, 1 to put fresh oil inm, Second was aftera about 5 hours of running to remove any remaining gunk, we also put on a custom Oil drain.

All the cleaning was done way before we mounted the Engine unit to the Cart,

Hope to have pics soon,

LOL  Oil based paint  HAHAH thats a good one XD

At least its running good now, drove it around the yard and onto the street, its got a Rediculous amount of torque, the whole frame twists when you step on the clutch pedal, Front wheels get a nice 2-3 inches of lift, and we can easily take it up a solid curb no problem. Just needs a little more speed, Gonna swap out the Large pully on the Friction disc shaft for one slightly smaller, not too much smaller otherwise we may stall it,  :S

Peace
