About the review section....
Original Message   Jan 5, 2005 10:57 am
I am curious, they all have a picture of item being reviewed. Are these pics being added by reviewers? I am thinking some moderator is adding them. No reason, just curious.

They are added by the reviewers. Unfortunately I still don't understand how to do it right.

normally to add a pic, you need to have the link copied. You can usually do this by bringing the pic up on scree from the web site it is on, then right click on the pic. At that point a sort of menus will appear, at the bottom it will say 'properties'. left click that. the properties window will appear. Highlight the address by holding down the left mouse button as you bring cursor over the adr. then go to top of page left side it says edit, click that , scroll down to copy, and click it.

now you have the img in htttp form.

to paste it somewhere on net simply type ...

Unless the web site you are pasting to restricts it...that should add the pic .

It really is not as hard as it seems.

jogo,

This site doesn't use esoteric code for styling your text or adding links and images. It uses point and click, so you don't have to "learn" how to fancy your messages up.

Further, the reviews section actually lets you upload a product image to our server here. You do not need to place the image somewhere on the Web and then reference it.

Hey guys,

In the review section there is a place to add PICS directly from your hard drive as Peter said. You just click on "browse" select the pic you have saved on your hard drive and your done.

Yes, I added PIC's to those that didn't have them, was only two or three of them.

That Snow Commander pic looks pretty good. I feel like I am held hostage since I have no idea how to change it.
