Well there are lotsa thoughts on Husqvarna models...we do sell almost the full line. We didn't take the snowblowers though...thought they were too cheaply made. Thought we stick to the Snappers and the Ariens. We carry the chainsaws, trimmers, brushcutters, clearing saws, chop saws, push mowers, lawn tractors and there has to be some I'm missing...love the product line - not fond of the color either, but then again I hate red too. But I thought I'd just add that little tidbit, not this is a way too serious thread. Sherri

Richie, At the OPE dealer in Dover, De, the 9027STE-XP was $1199.00. I figure that you are better off buying the 1027, putting on a 13 HP OHV for $400.00 and having one hell of a powerfull blower!!! Fred

That's incredible. If you weren't in the business, I would never have taken your comment seriously, and thanks for that warning. As you mentioned, its the same around here, many OPE dealers do carry their line of other equipment, but usually never have their snowblowers on the floor. As much as I wanted it, I was just too concerned about problems with them that it may have been difficult to get good service on one. That's why I was even more surprised seeing them at Loews.

Not that they would be hard to get parts for or have that many problems. A lot of the dealers around here sold them and we haven't heard of any troubles. Thinking they were made by AYP, so the parts would be readily available. They just wouldn't be the same quality as the Snapper, Simplicity or Ariens, but all right just the same. (Simplicity and Snapper are hand in hand). They would be better then the Murray's and MTD's we see here at the box stores, but there are all kinds to fill in the pricing gaps.
Just some thoughts. Sherri

I was cleaning out my garage yesterday, had everything out in the open. A man walking by, stopped and then came up my drive and said he needed a snowblower for his place in West Virgina. Seems he was snowed in for 3 days, when we had the blizzard in January . Said he had a 300 foot long driveway at his WV place and had to wait 3 days for a guy to come and plow him out. Said he had 3 to 4 foot drifts. Turns out, he was an Emergency room MD and a Ski fanatic., works 4 to 12 at the local hospital. He offered me $800.00 for my 10.5 MTD blower, I said sold! He left and was back in 30 minutes with a truck and $800.00 cash!! So my blower is gone. I think this should be a good time to buy or order a new one!!! Fred
