Gang, I bought a Husky 9027 STE-XP snowblower this spring for $1000.00. I have not blown any snow with it yet!! It's a 9 HP OHV, 27 in cut. However, I would put it up against any other blower for ease of use!! Squeeze the right trigger, right wheel stops and blower turns a very sharp sharp turn to the right. Same on a left turn. It has infinate speed control, slow as you want or fast as you want! It weighs 257 pounds!! If any of you folks are looking for a decent blower at a decent price, buy the Husky!Il l'll write a reviev this October, when snow blowers become hot!!! If Husky lawnmowers are great, why should this snow blower be any different from there quality ????? Fred

That Husky is going to be tough to beat for that price not to mention it has all the same controls as the Toro. The actual difference is that the Toro control features are much easier to manipulate than any other snowblower made today. If you haven't actually gone to look at one, please do so before you make any final decisions. I bought a 1028LXE yesterday at my local dealer. I originally went in to go with the Husky and walked out buying the Toro. Here's why: 1. The joystick control on the Toro for the chute is an absolute pleasure to operate. 2. The gear transfer case is a monster compared to the Husky's. 3. The chute and impeller opening on the Toro is MUCH wider and bigger. There's no "clearing stick" needed or provided w/it. 4. The toro uses high-impact plastic which is a non-stick surface for snow. With metal, it's eventually gonna stick when it wears down. 5. You can hold down both levers in tandem with only one engaged (on handlebars), and use your other hand to direct the chute. 6. The Toro was lighter to manuver and was much more center-weighted compared to the weight distribution on the Husky. 7. The Husky is a re-branded machine made by another company. The Husky definitely looks a little cooler with it's orange colors and prestigious brand name, but.... The Toro name (in our heads) was in the past associated with subpar equipment but I think this snowblower is really the way to go if you need to buy one... -Ed

Snowman, where do you live? how much snow per year? what size area do you have to blow? The Husqvarna would probably be okay but if you have a larger area to clear or get heavy snow farily often you'd be doing yourself a favor by getting the Ariens. They are made to go the distance. AZ

well for a cheaper price than the DLE model, the 11528LE has a trigger lock which assists in turning. I find the LE just fine with one wheel unlocked and since it has pretty big air tires with both locked it can turn ok and seems easier to turn than my old 70's Hahn-Eclips Snow Giant. I mean I find the 926LE just fine with......etc. It can have either wheel locked or unlocked so the exhaust in the face problem (you may have read about) is solved by unlocked the righ wheel instead of left. The 11528le is even easier because you can "on the fly" lock and unlock the left wheel.
