Those are both the Honda GX series engines, not GX.

I have the unit from Lowes, and this is my second summer using it and did I work the hell out of it when I first purchase my home last July.  Starting a quick.  During the winter I changed the oil and plug, and in April on the first pull it fired right up and still do everytime I start it.

On the down side, there are two cheap round clips that prevents the wheels from comming off the shaft, I had to replace them and I used hose clamps, much stronger and can survive the vibration.

The hose, rod, and nozzles are all of good quality and so far all is well.

Just my input.

I'll chime in from the Briggs camp...  I bought an Excell at HD a few years back and have had only one problem with it....The valve cover plate shook itself loose and she was throwin oil around.  I tightened down the two screws(at that point they were hand-loose) and the problem is solved.  I got two full seasons of hard to moderate use outta it before this happened.  For HO use either manfact makes a decent machine.  As is always said here- more important than the engine on a Press washer is the pump, and parts available for it.
