What's wrong with my tractor
Original Message   Apr 28, 2005 10:45 am
I should probably post this under a different name for fear of being labeled "incredibly stupid" but here goes...

A couple of weeks ago I pulled the tractor out of the garage and started it up for the first time since putting it away for the winter.  It started right up and ran well but when I went to engage the blades (electric PTO), the engine slowed and the blades didn't turn at all.  My first thought was a siezed spindle...maybe rust over the winter but I had greased the spindles and they are after all, aluminum...

So, what do you think it was (remember, really stupid)?

Answer to be posted later.
