the blower is indeed an MTD product but mtd owns mc culloch they are built in tiawan or china. that being said it is a pretty good blower for the price. i have worked on some of there stuff and it was built a lot better than i was expecting. anytime you get a whole crank you get a pretty good machine. only problems i have seen were bad gas related carb troubles. later chris
