Clarence impeller kit

I just replaced my 1978 Ariens st824 with a new Ariens Deluxe 24 SHO. It is easier to maneuver but does not throw as well as my old snowblower with a Clarence impeller kit. Does anyone know if I can put an impeller kit on the new SHO impellers?

I lied, I missed my impeller kit and installed one later that winter.

Looking for a replacement carb that is no longer available. Suggestions of replacement carburetors that might fit this application?

I cheated when this happend to me. I bought the gearbox & impeller assembly new from jacks small engine repair. I started out like you, I was going to rebuild. The parts were scarce for my very old Ariens (circa 1978 or 1979). I can tell you that it was shortwork to put the new parts together and now i have the new cast iron gearcase.
The cast iron gearcase was $189; the new impeller was $95; various other parts (groove pins, thrust collar, etc) were another $25 altogether. In the end, I was glad to have replaced it all. The new impeller (fan) had a tighter tolerance to the impeller housing than the original and I have not bothered to install an impeller kit as the performance of the new set-up is quite satisfactory.

looking for tire chains told 13 x 4 x 6 was the same as 413 x 350 x 6

My father-in-law has a snow tek (by Ariens) model 920402 serial # 136001 that could use a set of chains. I went looking and they are back ordered everywhere.
These chains are a 13 x 4 x 6 chain. One place I called said that was a 410 x 350 x 6 chain. Does anyone know what that conversion is and if I found aftermarket chains with those dimensions might they be interchangeable?
Thanks in advance for the wisdom,
Dan
