I have not seen one yet but from the site I think of the Bissell and also Kirby. I am not impressed myself because there is too much chance of messing up while cleaning. A pro can make a hard to use vacuum cleaner look so easy to use with practice. Think about the Kirby salesman changing the head on the cleaner with his bare feet and many customers have trouble changing attachments they leave everything together and don't change the belt until they take it to an independent to change.

Aerus / Lux machines are manufactured in Brstol. The Era Fresh upright is imported.

Very Interesting map. Not included in U.S. -Tristar, Aerus/Lux, Fairfax, Air Storm, Rainbow,. All are made and sold in U.S.A. Makes me think they want people believe they are the only American cleaners beside KIrby,Oreck and themselves made here for people that buy American.

The article in question I looked at again and realized the ASA made an error in their judgement. When you make a claim that a unit was designed for up to 20 years use . It did not mean it would last 20 years. Some of the units would last that length of time. It is the same way Steam Cleaners got out of many law suits on their claim of getting up to 90%  of the water out of your carpet.  The claim was proven false time and time again  The catch all phrase up to and the fact it said in small print  (under Laboratory conditions) kept the State of Indiana from suing for false advertising when their tests showed 15%  was sucked up. Dyson and ASA were wrong in saying false claims.
