Re: Replace Skid Shoes With Wheels?

A co-worker of mine did that with a blower mounted on the front of his Ariens tractor. He used some thin, heavy steel wheels. I wish I knew more, but I do know they lasted quite some time.

That could very well be the kit that changes a single belt auger drive to dual belt. I was going to install on mine, but my machine was too old. If yours is a single and the kit fits, I'd go for it.

Let's see, a 100 yard gravel driveway with steep hills located in a Canadian snowbelt and you want to use a walk-behind snowblower? Wow! You have a lot more gumption than I do!!! I'd be looking for a plow rig of some sort.

Why do you start it at full throttle? Not that it's contributed to the problem, but methinks you'd want to start it at lower throttle, particularly if it's kept outside. Cold oil circulates slowly.
