As promised, here is my prototype of an electric chute deflector. I used a car wiper motor wired to the slowest speed, and powered from a 6 volt battery to slow it down some more. I still think it operates a bit too fast. I'm hoping to finish up the wiring, add the chute rotator and joystick control in the next few days.
It does seem a bit big & clunky on my little 5-24 machine, and far less elegant than Bolack's, but I have some other ideas I'll play with over the summer.









I also added a little video to UTUBE to show it in operation.
