Downloading from a Digital Camera
Some digital cameras offer more than one way to download images to a computer. Here are many of the options available:
Via removable memory - these are read with a memory card reader, a separately purchased computer accessory for a PC or Mac. PCMCIA Type II or III cards can be inserted directly into laptop computers.
Via Infrared - this method uses infrared light to transfer images without using cable or wires. It is very slow.
Via Serial Port - This relatively slow method is common.
Via USB cable (Universal Serial Bus cable) - this is a newer, faster connection. It generally needs Windows 98 or new operating system for support, but is probably your best bet.
