Samsung NV10
This year’s winner of the European Imaging and Sound Award for compact digital camera is the Samsung NV10.
You get ten megapixels, a 3x optical zoom (remember it’s the optical zoom, not the digital zoom figure that matters), and a 2.5” LCD screen with a range of automatic and manual functions to customize your shooting options. If you want the ease of a point and shoot as you try and capture your peripatetic two year old, the NV10 offers “Smart Touch” for quick and easy shot taking.
With the Advanced Shake Reduction system, you can take those elusive low light shots with success. And de rigueur for any new digital camera is the MPEG video option. The NV10 offers TV quality video with a zoom and pause option. You get the rechargeable battery or rely on the USB connection. It’s a slim little number, measuring about ¾ of an inch deep, four inches wide and 2.5 inches tall.
Flexibility and great pictures make this a good digital camera purchase.
